Strength in Diversity of Faith

Diversity of faith traditions is our strength and heritage and continues to the present day. From residents to staff to our Board of Trustees, we represent many different socio-economic groups, interests and faiths.

A Message from the Chaplain

Mickie Cowan, M.P.S. Greetings and a warm welcome from the Pastoral Care Department and the Spiritual Life Committee of the Resident’s Association. We invite you to be part of our many religious services and activities.

Each week, we have Sunday school at 9:15 a.m. and worship service at 10:30 a.m. and Thursday Vespers at 6:00 p.m. in the Franks Community building Chapel. A variety of clergy and laypersons volunteer their time to share their faith. We believe the warmth of our fellowship and the rich and stimulating messages of our speakers will be a blessing to you.

We also have many other religious activities such as bible study, prayer group, special films and lectures from area clergy, as well as, religious professors from local universities. An active Prayer Chain offers concerns to the Lord daily through members’ faithful prayers.

Live Oak celebrates Jewish holiday services during special seasons of the year.

There is a great religious spirit of love and cooperation among the family of Live Oak. We invite you to be a part of this spiritual journey with us!
